Basic membership allows you to post a profile, one photo, conduct searches, and send and receive messages to other members. To have all other features, you must order the Option Pack.

The following is a description of all Option Pack features that are for premium members and NOT included in the basic membership:

AMS Mobile
Get a text message from AMS alerting you when there is a message waiting for you on AMS! You can also Interact with other members on your Contact List directly by cell phone.  It is 'anonymous' in that you only see the first name and member ID; no one ever gets your cell phone number.  You can also respond to a text message you receive directly back to their cell phone without being on the website!

My Personality
This feature uses a very sophisticated and very well done analysis program that helps a person understand and express things about their personality.  You will go through the process of 24 questions, and at the end it will display a long description about yourself.  This profiling of your personality will then be available to you to always review, as well as to other members to view.

Essay Coach
After completing those same 24 questions, you will also find a section called "Essay Coach" that displays, in paragraph form, a description about yourself.  This can then be used to improve on your current Personal Advertisement (which we have now renamed "Personal Essay").

MyType Builder
Here, you can determine a "type" that you wish the system to look up for you.  You will first be asked to give the type a name.  For example, if the type you want to search for is your ideal type, you might call it "Ideal".  If the type you want to search for is your opposite, you might call it "Opposites Attract".   You will see as you do your first one how these separate types you build can work for you. 

MyType Coach

Here, you can allow our system to assist you in building a type by responding to a series of questions.  You might consider going through this before you do the MyType Builder, but it can certainly be done afterward as well.   This is just a way of coaching you through the process so you can maximize your search opportunities.

MyType Selector
This is just another kind of way to do searches on other AMS members based ONLY on the results posted from the My Personality feature.  You will see that you can try to search on those who are "similar", "somewhat similar" or "not similar".   Any of these can be helpful in determining if you might be attracted to someone who is more close to your personality or maybe someone very different from you. 

'Fresh Look' Search
Allows you to search just members with recently updated profiles, for a Fresh Look at someone you might have missed!

Multi-Photo Album
Allows you to post more than one photo (which only basic membership allows). Posting many photos is always a help toward having success on this site. And it allows you to present more about you than just one photo is often not able to do.

One-On-One Chat
This feature allows Option Pack members to chat with each other in real-time (like Instant Messenger) when they are both online at the same time.

Local Events Postings and Alert
The AMS Calendar of Events promotes interaction between our online members in the offline world. Option Pack members can post events and the calendar sends out notices to their email address when there is an event posted in their area. In addition, a bulletin board discussion is started on the event when it is posted, so that members can ask questions about the event or discuss it with other AMS Option Pack members.

Discussion Boards
The AMS discussion boards were created to foster dialogue between members on topics important to the members. Some topics discussed relate to postings on the Events Calendar, AMS Trips for single Catholics, using the AMS website, Theology of the Body, dating and relationships, and much more. Profile Self-Critiquing Service
Your profile is what gives the main first impression, and is so important to having success on AMS. This service allows you to find out what are the key things to look for in your profile to determine whether or not you should make a revision. You use this information to review your own profile, which is based on our long experience.

Auto Replies
Some times, there are those whom you are not interested in corresponding with any further or whom you don't wish to have contact you again. We have created kind but firm responses that you can use when you are not sure how to word it yourself. Just click the Not Interested or the Block buttons, and these replies are taken care of for you.

Saved Searches
This feature allows you to create a variety of different search combinations and save them for future use. You just bring up a Saved Search and it will automatically perform the search for you. No more starting from scratch every time you login to the site. And it is very handy to have when you are not sure what kind of searches you have already done.

Remove Profiles from Searches
Option Pack members can remove profiles from their searches that they are no longer interested in seeing. This helps save time often spent in weeding thru search returns that you are not interested in, so that you can focus on members that might be a possible match.
